Homemade Whipped Cream

I must say that I am not the best cook, seeing that I have been only doing it for two years. However; Christmas got me baking and I believe out of all the pies and candies, the best thing that I made was the whipped cream.  I think that it is the best discovery I have made this year and my husband seemed to enjoy it ( he stole my hot chocolate and ate all the whipped topping, and left me the rest...what a thief ! ) Practically anything homemade is amazing. I'm sure most of you know how to make it, but just incase you don't, here it is.

2     cups of heavy cream
3+   tablespoon of powdered sugar
1     teaspoon of vanilla extract

-Blend the heavy cream until it starts to get thick (a couple of minutes) . Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended. It should start to look like whipped cream. If it's not sweet enough, add more powdered sugar and heavy cream to your liking. Refrigerate and serve.

Top 5 Beauty Products : December

It's the end of December and the New Year is approaching and I felt the need to talk about my top beauty products that I can't live without right now. Now I am all for natural beauty and such, but if the barn needs painting..then paint it!

1. This product is absolutely amazing. It is called Nourishing Coconut milk and its sell price is $ 5.94 and
you can find this at Walmart. Basically, it is a split-end fixer and it makes your hair super shiny and healthy. Now the directions say to apply a small amount to damp, or toweled dry hair. Make sure to use just a little squirt or two, because if you use to much, it can make your hair greasy, and greasy is not sexy!
Now I apply it after i have washed and straightened my hair. By doing it this way, it acts as a anti-frizz product and makes my hair shiny and glossy :)

 2. Now this product is from a company called Sigma and they make GREAT makeup brushes.  I am sure most people have heard of MAC brushes ( which are also great). However; Sigma is basically the same thing but Sigma is cheaper while holding on to that good quality.  You can buy brushes individually or in kits. The sell price of the brushes shown here is $57.00. They last a really long time and you will be able to tell the difference when applying your makeup!

3.  I cannot even tell you how many facial cleansers that I have tried. Either they dry out your skin, make you break out even more , or just don't do anything. But this product is a miracle to faces...at least my face and it is only $ 4.99!  Clean and Clear astringent works wonders, you can even tell the difference the next day. The definition of a astringent is basically contracting of body tissues, here it is the skin. So it minimizes pores and dries out acne, but not to were your whole face will dry up! I have horrible issues with blackheads and this product clears them up. Like any face product, if you use it numerous times in one day...then yes it will make your face dry, thats why you should use it once a day preferably after you've taken a shower. For dry skin altogether, Follow up with a moisturizer .

4.  This moisturizer is non-greasy and works great with makeup. It's sell price ( according to Walmart) is $8.97. After using the Clean and Clear astringent, I apply Biore moisturizer. Since using this I haven't experienced dry skin. I've tried other moisturizers like Olay and Neutrogena, but they moisturize my face too much! It is always important to use a moisturizer, it helps with keeping skin looking young and refreshed. Always wear a moisturizer with SPF , UV rays are not going away anytime soon, so you'll want to protect your skin.

  5. The last product on my list this month is Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner.  They eyeliner comes in all different colors and is $7.94.  I always used liquid eyeliners and after using gel, I will never go back. It lasts all day and I can sleep in it and it will still be there in the morning, not all over my face. It works very well on the bottom lash line and the product itself lasts a long time.
